How can city open data help us plan safer streets?

By identifying the risk factors associated with pedestrian and bike accidents, we can help planners design safer streets.

Ken Steif & Erick Guerra of the Department of City & Regional Planning at Penn recently submitted a Knight News Challenge proposal which purports to use city open data to understand the built environment factors that are disproportionately responsible for pedestrian and bike accidents.
